Today I picked up my car after an oil change. While they searched for my keys for several minutes, I watched the television they had in the waiting area. The name of the show was “Street Court”, and the idea seemed to be a People’s Court of Judge Judy type of show, with the novelty being, yep, you guessed it, that they hold court IN THE STREET. All New Yorkers know that when the train (subway) pulls out of the station, there can be a pretty severe jolt, so if you aren’t planted securely, you might stumble.
